Families and community members are invited to attend our district STEM fair on March 7 at Harrison Preparatory School, 9103 Lakewood Dr. S.W. in Lakewood. This free, all-ages event begins at 9 a.m.

The STEM fair is a chance for attendees to engage in hands-on science, technology, engineering and math activities. It includes exhibits from outside vendors such as Wolf Haven, the Pierce County Library, the U.S. Geological Water Science Center and more!

This year’s event features a mini museum exhibition from the Burke Museum focused on ecosystems.

The STEM fair hosts the district’s science and engineering fair where students display and present the science projects they have been working on this year. Participating K-5 students can register for the event from 9-9:45 a.m., while registration for students in grades 6-12 runs from 11-11:45 a.m.

Students will also be able to show off their skills in a series of STEM challenges that test their problem solving, teamwork and critical thinking skills.
