Dear Oakbrook Families,
Happy New Year! As we begin 2026, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible Oakbrook Elementary community and the joy, growth, and learning happening in our school each day.
Oakbrook proudly serves approximately 290 kindergarten through fifth-grade students who bring with them a rich diversity of cultures, languages, and backgrounds. Our students’ curiosity, kindness, and resilience make Oakbrook a truly special place to learn. We are equally fortunate to have a dedicated and caring staff—many of whom have served the Oakbrook community for years—who show up every day with a deep commitment to students and families.
We are proud to offer engaging programs that support the whole child, including:
- Daily specialist classes in Physical Education, Library, or Fine Arts for every student
- A Multi-Lingual Learner (MLL) program supporting language development
- Reading intervention services for students who qualify for additional support
- A strong, inclusive special education program ensuring access and belonging for all learners
As we move into the winter months, attendance remains a key focus for our school. Being at school every day truly matters—students build stronger relationships, stay connected to learning, and grow in confidence when they are present and engaged. Thank you for partnering with us to make regular attendance a priority and for communicating with us when challenges arise. Your support makes a meaningful difference.
Just as important as academics are the values we live by at Oakbrook. Our Eagle Pride expectations—Being Respectful, Being Responsible, and Being Careful—guide our daily interactions and help create a positive, welcoming school environment. We love celebrating students who demonstrate Eagle Pride and lift up our community.
We are also incredibly grateful for the hard work of our PTA, whose dedication and energy enrich our school in so many ways. From supporting student experiences to strengthening family connections, the PTA plays an important role in Oakbrook’s success. We encourage families to get involved, join upcoming events, and partner in the great work being done to support our students and staff.
Thank you for being such an important part of the Oakbrook Elementary community. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead, continuing to work together to help our Eagles soar.
Warmly,
Leila Davis
